This Privacy Policy explains how Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet (CRYB) handles information when families, students, staff, and visitors use our website, contact us, create a Student & Family Portal account, or choose to receive email or text updates.
Information we collect
We may collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, account roles, student names, class selections, communication preferences, and messages you send to us. Portal activity may also include announcements, files, delivery history, consent records, and replies to school communications.
We collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as session and request information. We do not use this information for advertising.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure portal access, organize class-specific communications, answer questions, send school announcements and reminders, maintain consent and delivery records, and meet legal or safety obligations.
Your number is not marketing data.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers needed to deliver CRYB messages, such as Twilio and mobile carriers, or when required by law.
Text messaging
If you separately opt in, CRYB may send class updates, rehearsal reminders, schedule changes, and school announcements. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Service providers and disclosure
We may use trusted providers for website hosting, secure login, file storage, email, and text delivery. They may process information only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of an organizational transition with appropriate safeguards.
Children and family accounts
CRYB serves young dancers. Parents or guardians should create and manage accounts and communication preferences for younger students. Student accounts are intended for dancers age 13 and older unless a parent or guardian directs otherwise.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for school operations, recordkeeping, safety, and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update portal profile and communication preferences, opt out of email where offered, reply STOP to text messages, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to necessary school and legal records.
