Rudi Andalora has enjoyed the dance community teaching modern ballet technique and choreography at the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet in Jamestown, NY. He is a 21 year retired public elementary school teacher now returning to work in schools through arts in education. He started his modern ballet training in Rochester, NY back in 2001. The training included the Park Avenue Dance Co in Rochester with Christine Fendley and Marina Peters; and the Garth Fagan School of Dance, Tony Award winning choreographer of the Lion King Broadway musical. From there Rudi traveled often to Toronto, Canada to train at the Toronto Ballet, Harbourfront Dance Centre, as well as the Visceral Dance Centre in Chicago, Illinois adopting several styles of dance like Martha Graham, Paul Taylor and Bob Fosse. Rudi has been fortunate to work with many choreographers as that is where the heart and passion lives in dance. Visit @andalorarudi on Instagram to view choreography through the years. The teaching includes modern ballet, modern jazz, Bob Fosse styling, musical theatre dance and athletic core dance training. A favorite of Rudi’s is to teach dance class with a live gembe (drum) band. He has also taught Italian language both at Suny Fredonia and University at Buffalo. Rudi is honored to teach classes and produce new choreography for the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet. The students have an amazing drive for dance and performance at CRYB.
