NUTCRACKER IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND DATES
CRYB’s Nutcracker is a professionally staged production – not a school recital. We have approximately 2 months to teach, stage and polish the performance. We therefore require all cast members to commit to all rehearsals and performances.
REHEARSALS:
With the exception of theatre week the majority of Nutcracker rehearsals will be held on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons between 1:00 and 6:00pm. Depending on your child’s role, rehearsal can be a little as 30 minutes to as much as 2-1/2 hours. Some advanced roles may also rehearse on weekday evenings. A possible rehearsal may be scheduled on Columbus Day and / or Veterans Day.
Please let us know in advance about any UNAVOIDABLE conflicts (for example school concerts) so that these are taken into consideration when confirming rehearsal schedules.
Performances are Opening Night Friday, Dec. 10 / Matinee Saturday, Dec. 11
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Cast members are required to sell ads two for the program
There is a production fee for the Nutcracker due October 1st along with the permission form. This amount covers participation, rehearsal costs, costume usage and dry cleaning
CRYB students $45.00 (additional $10 per student for families with more than one child participating).
Non CRYB students $75 (additional $10 per student for families with more than one child participating)
Cast members’ parent or parents must volunteer to help either in the lobby or backstage. Sign- up sheets will be at the cast meeting.
NUTCRACKER SWEATSHIRTS, DVD, Cast Party, Packages:
Orders for Sweatshirts now being accepted at the front desk. DVDs and Cast Party information will be out shortly.
